What the browser keeps

All of these are in localStorage unless marked otherwise. They're per device and optional. Every read is wrapped in try, so a private window still works.

Key Holds
nessie-theme system, dark, light or synthwave-neon
nessie-library The library last visited, where #/ opens
nessie-output server or browser
nessie-browser-volume This device's volume, 0 to 1
nessie-notifications-seen, nessie-notifications-cleared With profiles off only: the newest notification seen and cleared on this device (a profile's are on the server)
nessie-prefetch How many queued songs to download ahead, 0–20 (Settings → Offline; 3 by default)
nessie-other-libraries-open Whether the sidebar's Other libraries section is unfolded
nessie-pending-plays The app's plays taken from its player, waiting for the server to get them
nessie-native-shuffle { shuffle, unshuffled } for the app's player, which doesn't keep them itself, so they survive a reload
nessie-history-length (sessionStorage, this tab only) How many history entries the app has, which is how far Forward can go

The chosen profile isn't in localStorage. It's a signed cookie, nessie_profile, set by the server.
